Second Annual Cyber Security Awareness Day

Welcome

KSU Information Technology Services held its second annual Cyber Security Awareness Day on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Please take our survey- we welcome all feedback on the event.

The KSU Cyber Security Awareness Day is following the National Cyber Security Alliance's call for raising awareness & encourage students, faculty, and staff to protect their computers from an evolving threat landscape.

The Internet is becoming an integral part of our daily lives; we are online at home, school, work, and increasingly on mobile devices. Furthermore, our economy and much of the everyday infrastructure we rely on uses the Web.

Our cyber infrastructure is only as strong as the weakest link. No individual, business, academic or government entity is solely responsible for cyber security; rather, everyone needs to share the responsibility to secure their part of cyber space. While the steps we take may differ based on what we do online, we need to understand how individual actions may impact cyber security.
